..my head..churns out lines..that sometimes seem to rhyme..bit by bit they fit..to be a complete misfit..to me its my freedom...a revolution..my mental evolution...
I Do It For You My Dear!
You don't have to go dad,
while they are all here.
Every few months dad,
why do you disappear?
Her dad comes to the park,
her mother too is here.
But why do you have to go,
while the others are here.
You send me gifts dad,
but it doesn't stop the tears.
Every time you walk away dad,
it builds up a certain fear.
Will you come home dad?
I really miss you my dear.
This is a poem I wrote for my Godchild to her Father who works away from home. I early thought of the title as I do it for the money :)
The Children Aren't Growing
Run around,
no matter where.
Pressing buttons,
without a care.
A smile each visit,
hugged a loving goodbye.
Tiny hands with a mighty touch,
their curious minds, open to stimuli.
Bundles of energy,
loving each new day.
Fascinated by nature,
every ready to play.
Have we grown up,
or have we decayed.
Running for gold,
the moments slip away.
Moment after moment,
day after day.
So late its got,
then we fade away.
